Mayor's Welcome

Welcome to Ashland & begin your adventure here!

As the Mayor, I would like to welcome you to Ashland!  Voted one of the 10 most beautiful cities in Nebraska, we are certainly proud of our community!  Ashland is conveniently located between the two largest metropolitan areas of the state.  Ashland has excellent business and residential opportunities.  I consider Ashland residents to be the finest and friendliest around!  Our many service groups and civic organizations support the community and help to move Ashland into the future.

Tree lined brick streets highlight our downtown historical district. Modern schools, churches and generous community spirit all contribute to a proud place to call home. Incorporated on February 2, 1870, we are surrounded by state tourism attractions, including Mahoney State Park, Strategic Air and Space Museum, the Wildlife Safari Park and and 4 spectacular golf courses. We combine history, culture, entertainment and growth within our ever emerging community.

From Ashland, it is just a short drive to the two largest cities in Nebraska. Sports entertainment, cultural events and city shopping are all within minutes of Ashland via I-80. We also offer a full list of community services within Ashland. These include medical, grocery, variety, hardware, legal, real estate, banking, insurance, investment, autos, mechanical services, restaurants, shopping and entertainment opportunities.

The City of Ashland would love for you to “Begin Your Adventure” here whether you are a long time resident, new arrival, or visitor.
